They always make me do a factory re-boot and tell me not to download third party apps. Every time I call customer service, ABSOLUTELY NOBODY has ever heard of the squealing problem.

They even changed out my memory card to try and trouble shoot the issue. They sent me a total of 5 different phones trying to figure out the problem. I have been having the same problems on my TOUR since September 2009 when I first bought it. Last edited by llcapua 01-27-10 at 02:18 PM. Every one who talks to her complains about the squeal. If I get it resolved I will post on this forum what the problem was so that maybe you can let your techs get it resolved alittle quicker than I did. The person I have been working with says that he has never heard of this happening, but I have been getting updates about every other day. I am told that it is almost pinpointed to resolve the problem. Verizon wireless techs have now been working on it for about 2 months. The service people at the store front never took it seriously and even indicated that she was just imagining it. Verizon wireless finally started taking it more seriously after I started getting involved. Then she updated her phone, and that still did not solve the problem. First her phone was replaced, and like most of you that did not solve the problem. I have been having the same problem with my daughters phone since about Nov. After seeing some of the calls that she complained about the noise issue (doing the *** then 'Send'), the rep agreed that it is something in the Network, but not sure what it is at this point. Update: A VZW rep (phone) escalated this issue to the network group.

If I hear anything from the VZW techs, I will post back here, but it sounds like it's turning into a bigger issue. In my mind, I might have to rule that out now since it's happening on another BB model, so it has to be something VZW service related. It happens through the speakerphone and BT as well, so it's not phone related, unless it is the firmware that's causing an issue. Not sure if that's going to capture what we need, but that was the only thing that we could do. Another rep suggested we dial *** (three stars) then send after it happens so they can log the call previous and determine if it is network or tower related. She said it was around the same timeframe as you.Ī VZW rep sent out another phone, but it's doing the same thing on the replacement.

sometimes almost sounds like the Nextel does not happen all the time but quite frequently enough that it is now becoming very annoying.I and my friend both placed calls to Verizon and also got no answers and they seemed to be unaware of it.so still wondering what it is and if it had to do with the software upgrade.and still looking for answers.The same thing is happening to my wife's 8330, but I haven't heard it on my 9530.

I have the curve 8300 now for 2yrs and have barely ever had a problem until just like 2 to 3 weeks ago, and yes it seemed to have started after i got the e-mail regarding the software upgrade and so naturally i did it, and now myself and a friend of mine with the same phone are also getting that 'high pitch' squeal and chirping noise.
